NHS flu vaccination for adults

You may be eligible for a free NHS flu vaccination if you are:

Aged 65 or over
Aged 18 to 64 with certain health conditions
Pregnant
In long-stay residential care
A carer, or a frontline health or social care worker
Living with someone who is immunocompromised

Eligibility is set by the NHS each year. If you are not sure whether you qualify, ask the pharmacy team and they will check with you.

Children aged 2 or 3 years, and children aged 2 to under 18 years who are in an eligible clinical risk group, may be eligible for a free NHS flu vaccination at the pharmacy. Appointments are available from 1st October 2026.

£20.99 per vaccination, for adults and children aged 2 years and over.

A private flu vaccination is available to anyone who is not eligible for a free NHS flu vaccination, or who would prefer to be vaccinated privately. No GP referral is needed.

COVID-19 vaccination

Cherry Lane Pharmacy supports the NHS COVID-19 vaccination programme. Eligibility for the 2026/27 season is set by the NHS.

If you are eligible for a COVID-19 vaccination, or for a combined flu and COVID-19 appointment, please book through the NHS National Booking Service and select Cherry Lane Pharmacy as your vaccination site.

Where both are being offered together, they can often be given at the same appointment. Ask the pharmacy team and they will tell you what is available.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Bring your NHS number if you have it, and details of any health conditions or medicines you take. Wear a top with sleeves that roll up easily.

Do you vaccinate children?

Yes. Private flu vaccination is available from age 2. NHS flu vaccination for children depends on age and clinical risk group, and the team will check eligibility with you.

Do I need an appointment?

Booking ahead is best so you are seen at a set time, but you are welcome to call in and ask.
